The project is to relocate and expand the existing Facility/Lab Operations. This project will provide required office and lab space of total 26,000 Sq. ft.
Job Description:
Responsible for coordination and reporting the construction activities of Seattle 1818 project. Coordinates compliance with the schedule, safety, baseline scope, and quality decisions in conjunction with the Project Owner, Project Manager and Project Controls Specialist.

  • Coordinates all on-site construction activities for compliance with the schedule and the contract requirements; Implements Owner’s Expectations.
  • Reports the daily/weekly process to the Project Owner.
  • Monitors and reports on construction productivity and schedule performance (including trends) to the Project Manager and Project Controls Specialist.
  • Directs and approves the development and implementation of construction schedule recovery plans as required.
  • Provide delivery coordination between Contractor (DPR’s Team) and Procurement Manager (Peter Alkire).
  • Equipment unloading, tagging and storage coordination as required.
  • Coordinates with DPR Manager to review all procured materials for acceptance.
  • Reviews and approves equipment installation supervision.
  • Conducts/participates weekly coordination meeting with the General Contractor & subcontractors.
  • Reports weekly schedule and commodity installation status to the Project Controls Manager.
  • Monitors all extra work authorization requests, change orders, and contractor progress for acceptance.
  • Change management support for approvals and justifications.
  • Adheres to Safety, Quality, Ethical Standards and Quality Management in accordance with bluebird bio Inc. Policies, Standards, Guides, and Contractual commitments.
  • Monitors and approve all RFI replies to DPR.
  • Responsible for completion of the construction punch list.
  • Has full knowledge of the safety program and acts as the Safety Representative on site.
  • Provide feedback to Owner for the invoice management.
  • Coordinates the Construction Completion Walkdowns and the complete hand over of As-built packages and supervises the close out of all the punch list items.
