Job #5315 – Coordinator - Construction
Candidate must have: 1) detailed knowledge of all aspects of microwave tower site installation and safety practices, including tower/monopole assembly and erection, foundation assembly and installation, grounding installation, antenna and feedline assembly, installation and alignment, backup generator and fuel tank installation, and tower lighting installation, 2) detailed knowledge of environmental protection practices associated with the items listed above, 3) strong communication skills, and 4) strong computer skills including working knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office Products Excel, Word, and Outlook. Candidate must have 10+ years of MW tower site build-out experience.
This is an experienced level field coordinator contractor position providing oversight of contractors at Dominion Energy’s Telecommunications facilities. Tasks will include: 1) confirming availability of the material required to complete a job, 2) coordinate getting the material and the contractors to the job site, 3) perform pre-job safety meetings and ensuring all work is completed in a safe manner adhering to Dominion’s safety guidelines, 4) ensuring all environmental safeguards (ex. Silt fencing) are in place and operating properly, 5) ensuring all antennas and associated waveguide/coax/hardware are assembled and mounted correctly, 6) ensuring tower and building foundations are assembled according to specifications, 7) ensuring grounding systems are installed according to specifications, 8) coordinate the installation of commercial power, 9) ensure new microwave towers and associated hardware are assembled and erected properly, according to specifications, 10) coordinate concrete testing and reporting, and 11) coordinate repair of antennas or tower lighting as needed. Work will be completed with the oversight of the group lead or other assigned group members.
